Weight of a Bare Block?

I need to transport a bare 340 block, anyone know what it will weigh and do you think you could do it safely in the trunk of a saturn????

About 150#-160#. Should be no problem for most any car.

What's the VIN on the block, is if out of a 69 car or a 70 car ?

I will not lift it alone don't worry!!

I do not have the block at my place, but when I get it, I will check the VIN.  I believe the date code on it is 69.

Jason, son Jim and I just tossed one in and out of my Escape with no problem. Too heavy for one unless you're a large lad! Good luck! Ian
