The DD's is nice b/c you can have addons.

Like outside temp, compass, use of a GPS speedo if you want.  Changeable backlight.

Sounds good, like always it comes down to personal preferences. The Speedhut gauges use a GPS speedo ,  you choose what colour it lights up at night, various choices for top mph,  the lcd? screen in the bottom you can toggle between , 0-60 time, 1/4 mile time , compass, mph in digital form, clock, peak mph and a trip/mileage counter .

You guys have inspired me! Just got my Speed Hut gauges in.

Went for the metric GPS unit which should overcome the MPH to KPH conversion and the notoriously dodgy cable & gear readings.

Should look great in the carbon bezel. Swapping out the wood grain for carbon interior.

What are your thoughts on the gauge logos?

I am wondering where you are going to mount your gps antenna. Just read the instructions and they want it mounted on the roof (preferred) or on the dash. I am thinking of modifying the speaker bezel for mine as I am certainly not mounting it on the roof. The antenna is magnetic but that isn't going to be overly helpful. It says it will receive signal through plastic but my pad has a metal frame so it will have to be above that. Center speaker is the only place I can think of and now that I am thinking about it as I type this, I could just do away with the center speaker and mount the antenna under the grille (pretty sure the grille is plastic)

We used 2 way tape, mounted it top center of windshield ( in front of rear view mirror )
