My bezel is already machined flat. The guy who made them work, just attached them to the plastic. (see pic). I don't really like it , so I was looking for a better way and yours looks great. I can't do fab work with any degree of talent. The car is in a shop that could do it, but they would run me through the roof on cost. The first one is always the hardest. Thought since you have the design, you could knock a couple out and sell them ?? just a thought....

I wish it were that easy. My dash frame was modified (due to my previous efforts), therefore the gauge frame I made is specific to that. There is no chance anything I made would drop in and fit.

You might want to take a look at DD and what crash340 is doing; retro design and drop in cluster.

That said, looking your the picture you posted here, is that a metal plate that the gauges are in now? if so, someone just needs to built the support to the dash frame.

I'm in too deep to change to DD. I don't care for the style they used on the gauges. Even the new ones they are working on aren't what I like. Thanks, we'll figure something out.
Thanks , Keith

Any new developments in the rallye or standard gauge after market set ups???
It has been a while so hoping someone came up with something meanwhile.

Guys I haven't installed it yet, I only just the other day shaped and attached the wood grain facial to the bezel, I'll simulate it on the DD dash and get up photo up shortly.

Here are a couple of pic's, sorry the quality is crap guys. I'm generally happy with them, DD were prepared to customize them to pretty much however I wanted, it cost me from memory around $240 to have the needles changed and the font, hash/tick marks changed, color added to the tach and so on, the only thing I should have done in hindsight was, if you notice the speedo and tach have the dual lines under the numbers, I should have had the same lines put under the numbers on the oil, temp, fuel and volt gauges as they look a little bland. I also purchased extra temp senders so I could have trans and engine oil temps. With this dash like most other aftermarket gauges, I can choose to either use the OEM indicator and high beam lights/indicators position (the three holes along the top above the gauges) or they are also inside the speedo ( a small blue beam and a left and right green arrow). I will be using the ones inside the speedo and will connect all three OEM position lights (LED's built into the DD frame) together and to the shift light output of my FAST Ignition.

No, comes standard with a pulse generator, it is GPS ready though, I dont need the compas heading, altimeter, clock sync so wont be going down that path as not required, here is some info from DD I received when asked about the system being GPS ready.

The GPS ready means that this VHX system is able to be plugged directly into our GPS-50-2, seen here:

http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=837/category_id=-1/mode=prod/prd837.htm

with a single cable data feed.  This will bring in the speed information, compass heading, altimeter reading as well as keeping the clock synced.
While this isn’t always cost effective on applications which have an existing VSS source to hardwire in to, it is a consideration when that doesn’t exist.
Alternatively, if the compass and outside temp are importing, our BIM-17-2 is another less expensive option to obtain these functions:

Go onto the DD website and have a look at the manual, it's on the right side of the page, it might tell you in there, I can't recall and am away at present to look it up sorry, yes backlight is still functional

They come with little black buttons you can mount where the factory 70-71 resets are :2cents:
