They come with little black buttons you can mount where the factory 70-71 resets are :2cents:
Speedhut does the same thing also.  :2cents:

Right now my mechanic is wiring up the Hemi Resto-mod I'm building.

Here's the back side of the Dakota Digital Dash installed with the optional GPS .
The dash itself only has one simple plug which comes from the remote control box which in this case is mounted next to the ashtray. EVERYTHING gets wired into that box. The remote GPS unit is mounted above the glove box. BE AWARE....the GPS does not come with the antenna which is required if mounting inside metal....not required if mounting inside wood or fiberglass

Nice spot for the box unless you ever need to get to it.

I looked at their stuff at SEMA and that main box allows the addition of a very wide variety of sensors/gauges.

Alan and 340,
Nice dashes, I just purchased the DD basic kit for my 1970 Cuda.  Mine currently is non-rally type and I have a few modifications to my car like "tanks" in tank fuel pump, Denso alternator, and other modernization electronics.  Also, I have a few wiring gremlins which I was in the process of sorting our in the factory harness, so I am looking forward to using the DD kit to help chase these down and correct them. Wish I would have known they could make the kit close to the originals like 340's, might of went that way if I could scare up the cash.  Nice to see the installs, please keep the information flowing.  Also, I have a TKO600 with electronic speedometer sensor, was told this is a plug-play for the DD.  My plan is to put the box behind the gauges so I am not upside down in my "SERE school box position" trying to wire.  Gauge kit looks like there should be extra room in that area, plus easy to get to for future upgrades and troubleshooting.

Please keep the information coming, very nice work both of you.

I would have got the one like 340's too with the orange needles etc...but I didn't know they existed until after my purchase. In my opinion, they should do all the E Bodies ones that way :screwy:

I spoke to DD at SEMA, suggested they would sell a lot more of their E Body gauges if they offered their std version at the normal price and the 'upgraded OEM style' even at the higher price, make it a production item, not remotely interested in the idea. So, if you considering buying a DD dash anything other than their basic model it will be a custom build. With that said, it didnt cost an arm and a leg and your first born to do the mods, nor did it take any longer to make so dont be frightened off by the 'custom' side of it. I think the needle change was foc as they already had red needles for other builds. it was the font and layout change that cost a couple hundred $.

Alan,
Did you have to use the three white light tubes that attach to the back of the bezel for the OEM instrument indicator lighting? the DD has LED bulbs built into the instrument housing rather than bulbs like the OEM. I dont have the white tubes and am wondering if I actually need them, could you somehow get a photo of that part of the dash installed? or does the dash pad prevent it being seen for the photo

Mine is wired to use the indicators in the gauge itself and not the factory ones. Personally, I don't think the white tubes would fit, but I never tried either.

Thanks, Im thinking the same, I will be wiring the three LED's together to function as a shift light and will use the in gauge indicators as you have done. I might have to simply make up some tubing from pvc conduit fittings or similar if needed to suit.

so the only thing left to get now is a rallye heater control bezel now and Im ready to install

Nice! Are they screenprinted like stock?  Greg, do you have a closeup of the face of the speedo or tach?
