Haven't had much time to do any work on the car. I did find some pictures of green and black columns and I'd have to say I'm glad I chose the black one. The green just looks to be too much when all the green carpet and seats are in. I may leave the console black too. If I don't like it It's an easy fix to paint it to match.

It would be interesting to see the different green interior combos that you could go with. It's hard to imagine a black console in the middle of a green interior

Here's two that have that black and green dash like mine.

On another note looks like they are deploying me in May, so all my ideas and time to get going on the car just got flushed down the toilet!!!!

That's not so bad. And the extra money from the trip will be a nice addition to completing the project. Hit me up in the global if you have a chance. Andrew Wanzer. TSgt type

If you are looking to put on the proper wide seam green vinyl roof on your Challenger you should get a hold of SMS auto fabrics www.smsautofabrics.com  This is the only place I have found that can supply the proper wide seam BOAR grain green vinyl roof. They are very slow as I have been waiting for mine for the last 6 months. They have to custom make each individual vinyl top. You can always put on the narrow seam green vinyl top that is readily available but that would be incorrect on a 70 and in my opinion doesn't look nearly as good.

Unfortunately not.  Legendary and everyone else including Year One only offer the wide seam in black or white. I spoke to someone at the Legendary tech line and he is the ones that gave me the contact info for SMS.

Thanks for the tip on the top!! I'll have to look them up. I'm not too concerned, but then again I have the time to order it...
I also went to the MATS the year and it was awesome!!!!! had a great time seen a ton of nice cars and not to mention HEMIs!!!!!!
I picked up some parts at the swap meet too, got a nice NOS set of COP wheels and a mopar intake manifold for the 440.

Had some paint left over from the interior parts and decided to see how they turned out and i think they'll look BA!!!!

I also sprayed the console

One other thing I seen at the swap meet in Vegas was a guy selling a 70 column and he wanted 500 for it!!! Glad I just built mine that's ridiculous!!! And don't get me talking about the rally gauges.........

Thanks for the info, but you left out on big thing!! How much was it? That's my biggest factor. I'm already straying from original so the thinner seam isn't gonna break my heart.

So it looks like I got the go ahead from the wife to send the Challenger off to the body shop!!!! I wanted to try to do that stuff myself, but I just don't have the time with deploying again. The car needs the trunk pans replaced, the quarter replaced and I'm just both that experienced when it comes to that. I have a friend the owns a shop and is a huge mopar guy so I couldn't have a better set up. In order to save some money on the job he said I could start to dismantle it. I'm happy with what I haven't found no rust yet! everything looks to be in good shape, dirty but good! So here's some pictures.
