Work Completed Week Ending 04-10-05
« on: April 11, 2005 - 03:11:01 PM »
Joe dropped my gas tank while I was at work on Friday.  When I came home we stripped off all of the old factory undercoating and cleaned up the tank.  It looked like brand new when we were finished (6-7 hours later...how much is a new tank LOL).  Also cleaned up and painted the heat shields.  Put in the new sending unit, It works YAY...Thanks Mike.  Here are some pics.

Nice clean-up job April!  That's been my favorite part of our resto....taking something old and disgusting and making it look brand new.

You did a great job.  Are you going to paint the tank or leave it?

All I did was clean my garage so I can start working on the Cuda again.

Wow April . . . I can't believe you got that tank to look that good!!   :ack:   :grinyes:   Sweet job!!

I had to work most of the weekend but am preparing for the car to leave and get the convertible top installed!  YEAH!!  So I have been collecting all the parts needed but am still lacking a few bolts.  Have to work on that.  Did install the latches for the top and need to replace a cylinder cause it's leaking!!  Hopefully not too hard to do and I don't use too much fluid.  One of those jobs once again that I will probably need to grow a couple more hands!   :banghead:    Hmmmmmmmmm   Maybe a wife could be useful!!   :dontknow:

Installed a carb spacer and started wrapping insulation on the fuel line. Not as sexy as painting the gas tank  ;) but it's gotta run to make Carlisle.

We were gonna take it out for a shakedown yesterday, but it was too nice out, spent all day riding.

NICE JOB APRIL!!!  :D ;) :grinyes:

As for me all my part troubles are going away!! YEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!!!!

# REV/Redline are sending me a hard to find A/C Duct/Housing piece and some window pieces.
# Outlaw is sending me some Woodgrain Dash decals.
# I just got called this morning to say my YearOne orders have arrived at the Airport, so I payed the duty and there on there way.
# Got my Speaker grill for my Dash.
# Don't need Vents for my dash because  my Resto team restored the other ones.
# Yearone has just informed me that the Dash harnesses are now in stock!

Ahhhhhhh  :)

All I need now is a 7 Quart Oil Pan (Center Sump) and the resto team can get stuck in.  :coffee:
