For a while I didn`t go there much but now I go and check out the swap section along with the ebay/craigslist/wiw,  resto and even general sections. There are plenty of know it alls, big egos, pot stirrers and such but there are also a bunch of good guys with a lot of knowledge. If you don`t like a post, thread or poster just ignore them and move on.

Too many idiots.......

I'm confused now.  In another thread, Oldschool reminded everyone that we shouldn't call people names but obviously, there must be acceptable times when we can do name calling.  does the rule only apply to people on this forum or in general?  Oldschool even replied under your reply and seems to have not even noticed.   :dunno:

Being somewhat of a newbie, I enjoy reading through the threads on moparts about stuff I am interested in. But, that being said, if I decide to post anything, I do it here. I find the atmosphere here to be more welcoming.

I could care less what someone says about members of another forum.  :grinno: What I do care about is members here bashing other members here.  :grinyes: That is the distinction....

The Quote: "Too many idiots" is a generalization and does not refer to a specific person. It's one thing to say, "Those guys in that car are idiots", compared to, "JayBee is an a$$hole". I believe Oldschool meant we shouldn't call individuals names. Just my opinion.

....we shouldn't call people names but obviously, there must be acceptable times when we can do name calling....

I'm starting to realize there isn't too much difference between the two venues!  Just like you pointed out, one of the moderators stepped right past the "name calling" and even responded to the comment!   It's more about who is allowed to break the rules than what is said!  God forbid that you fight back when it happens!   Heck.......I've even had one of the mods break their own rules to join in on the fun!*  :bricks1:  It must have been one of those "acceptable times".  :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:
