What is really funny is it seems Dave had a parting gift for the moderators.  Did anyone check out his signature?

Indian Real Estate Forum - Moderators Wanted

I talk to Dave on an almost every other day basis comparing resto techniques and just got off the phone with him.  Honestly, it seems like he really doesn't care about this forum with the bickering.  He was trying to help others.  Seems like he saw the writing on the wall which is why he removed his postings before he banned.

Hard to find bickering on this site. When you did, ECS was often involved. Actually, I thought he was made of sterner stuff. I never saw anything that was very significant. Pretty minor IMO.

If what Devil says is true and he has been banned from other sites, is everybody else really the problem?

Indeed, ECS has been banned/kicked off every other major Mopar forum.  I was very surprised to see him here as a sponsor.

Actually Devil, to my knowledge, the only place that ECS was banned from prior to here was over on Moparts.  Counting this one, that makes two.  Come to think of it, a couple of people here on this forum have also been banned at one point over on Moparts.

Now does being asked to come over and join other forums mean anything?  I personally know of at least 3 other sites that he was asked to join cause of his restorations and builds.  From what I remember reading, the only time that Dave has gotten a little stern with people was when someone was either accusing him of untrue things or out right slandering him in either case, can anyone blame him for defending ones self?  No different than someone coming up and punching you in the face.  Are you supposed to stand there and take the assaults?  Anyone tried that to me, they'd better hope the cops got there really fast as I'd be defending myself in a heart beat.

If it is ok with the mods, I'd like to post an email which Dave had just sent me.  He is very aware of what is going on as he has said he has had multiple people calling him in the last couple of hours to find out what is going on.

Hi Brian.....please copy what I wrote below and post it if you will.  Thanks.

Thanks for the update Brian.  First of all I never was banned from any site other than Moparts.  Whoever said otherwise is a blatant liar.  To the contrary, there are 3 other sites that contacted me in the last few months and asked me to share my projects on their site.  As far as being thinned skinned, I'll go toe to toe with ANYONE......mentally or physically.  I would respond to the rude comments made by others, THEY couldn't handle my rebuttal comments, would cry to the Moderators and they would ask me to "cool it".  Best of luck to them all.  It's their loss!

I wish there was a little logo that indicated when people have a financial interest in mopar via parts or restoration services. It can help explain some of the heat in some of the conversations. I always thought the ECS restoration thread was interesting like a soap opera since I have no dog in that fight. That thread is what convinced me to go extra customized so I never had to had a conversation like that thread. So much drama on that thread that I was hesitant to place an order with ECS for the vin pins, but on the phone he was professional and very quick to send the receipt and shipped same day. Impressive in my experience, a lot of passion for what he did/does but sometimes that is the biggest issue. Sometimes you gotta care less......

Sometimes you gotta care less......

If you care about something, shouldn't it be all or nothing?  If you have more than one child, do you care more about one than the other?  I think if I ever lost an ounce of caring or the passion for the things I loved, I might just have to give them up as once you start losing the passion for something, you are not giving your best devotion or attention to it.  If that is the case, then why bother doing it at all.

To be clear I would use ECS as a vendor again and recommend them to anyone (based on my experience). I was impressed by the customer service. Passion is a double edged sword. I enjoy the people here, the differences of opinions, and the massive amounts of knowledge shared. But at the end of the day for me, it's a fun break from work and no reason to get all worked up.

Maybe this is a good time to recognize all the people who are so supportive and inspirational to those of us that just lurk and dabble, there are a lot, but cuda hunter, brads 70, chryco, Dutch, hemiken i can name (sorry to everyone else I will remember 15 min too late) without even looking due to the positive influence I see in all the threads they interact with. Film surgeon (something like that) also seems to have a attention to detail that is 2nd to none and his search for knowledge is fun to watch.  So don't worry, be happy and thanks!!!

Will be sad to see him gone. I enjoyed his posts as I am a very anal about wanting things to be perfect and appreciated his desire to this same result. There are a few on here who think they know it all that like to stir the pot, as in life a few spoil it for the majority.  At some point I hope Dave reconsiders, but think that will be highly unlikely.

It would have been interesting to go back and read the thread and see what the "bickering" was about. It
just seems to me that someone doesn't take the time to delete all of their posts and drop from the forum
just because the were told they were acting like an ass. It may not have been an appropriate statement to make
by any member let alone a moderator, but I believe there must have been more going on. Especially since
ECS stopped being a sponsor 6 weeks ago. Seems like this thread has gone down hill quickly and I for one would
think it a good idea to lock it and let this drama end before it gets any worse.

NO. Respectfully, IMHO, it needs to be discussed.

Your opinion is as valid as mine. What more is there to discuss and what good would come of it ? I was just assuming the
damage has been done and would hate to see more (or any) bashing going on. I just hate drama on a hobby
site.    :drama:

Well, technically Challengerhk is a mod also. And his name is David.  Don't know if he said anything. But personally
I never read any of the posts from ECS anyway. Can't say a whole lot about someone that would take the time
to remove all of their posts so no one else could benefit from it.  :clueless:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that referred to me. Worst part is, I frequently agreed with him, but the way he communicated left a lot to be desired.
