C2C Fabrication patch panels ?

has anyone used any panels from these guys? i just bought a 1970 challenger last week that needs a firewall and cowl replaced and found there page. my father inlaw runs a body shop and says how great amd's panels are but of course there out of the firewall. so i'm thinking about buying it from c2c for 200 bucks less plus since there in detroit i can go down and pick it up in person unless anyone knows a reason that i shouldn't? here is there page http://c2cfabrication.com/

I doubt they are stamping them in house.  Most likely they are just a reseller and it would be dropped shipped to you.  With new stamped panels it's nice to have the holes in the correct spot.  I've seen re-stamped parts that are not 100% correct with holes and shapes.  If it was my car, I would wait for the AMD full panel.  Check with guys like Dave from Roseville as he might have one in his shop.  He's in Detroit too.

I would bet those are Sherman repops and not "made in Detroit" as they lead you to believe.

 those prices are great when i saw the shaker hood i was slighly tempted but something seems shady lol and if its not to the OEM standard for a replacement you might end up paying that extra money that you save to get the panel where it needs to be. AMD panels fit amazingly not much tweeking required ive done the roof on my challenger and it droped right on and was done in a weekend which i can not say much for goodmark products or sherman parts both req alot of work to get to fit. but there is other members who have had success. ive also done full amd roof, quartes trunk, trunk extentions, rear valence and tail panel on my 70 barracuda project and besides the tail panel (which is known for fitment issues) the car has went together farely well tweeks here and there but its all about massaging them into place clamping and moving over and over again. sorry to babble on but like Cody said wait for the AMDs its worth it in the end!

damn that isn't what i was hoping to hear. i know amd is the best as my father in law hasn't had anything bad to say about them and lately it seems like all he's done at the shop is mopar restorations. it looks like dave does have it in stock but i am still very temped to try out these other guys just because of the price difference. i can get both inner fenders for difference which if i'm looking at it right have to come off to change the firewall? my other option is maybe i could patch up my firewall and just replace the cowl. my car is a ac car but i was planing to put a non ac firewall and heater box back into it. this car will never be anything more then a driver as there is no fender tag and it isn't numbers matching. it was a small block auto car and it will be a 440 4 speed car but i still don't want to half @$$ it

i get what your sayin no prices. i bought my challenger when i was 16 and im 27 now alot of the parts were not available that there is now the car was done the 1st time when i was 18 and that was on a commissary bagger salary USAF grocerey store lol. but i look back at the multiple time during the cars life of how many times i bought stuff because i didnt want to wait to buy something a little better. i bought a lower rear quater patch the 1st time (sherman part), to then buy skins the 2nd time (goodmark) and now when i decide to make the car look a little better a 3rd time ill do full amd quarters. but my car is also as far from a resto it can be from being a orginal 318 car to a 360 with a 8 3/4 with 4:11 posi, so maybe give them a call and see who they buy there stock from, hell it could be AMD and there buying in bulk lol. anyway just sayin not sure how old you are but as ive grown older ive become more irratated with my short cuts that i took in the past because i didnt like the fit or whatever it may have been.

i hear what your saying i am 36 married with 3 kids and 2 houses so i'm on a tight budget. from the time i was 16-20 i've had 3 challengers a cuda a duster and a 68 charger that i had to sell the morning of my wedding in order to have money for an apartment that day. man do i miss that car it had a built 440 in it. i got a reckless driving ticket for pulling a wheelie in my work parking lot in it. anyways i've been out of old mopars since 98 untill last week when i traded my 12 foot fishing boat for this 70 challenger and all the parts they had for it i made out great on the deal.after looking all around i can't believe the amount of parts made for these cars now. with the father inlaw running the body shop i know all about sherman parts lol i am still not sure which i will order yet if we were talking about a quarter that everyone is gonna see i wouldn't even think twice but being the firewall cowl and inner fenders most people will never see them.i'm thinking about maybe going to c2c and talking to them and checking out the parts in person maybe take the father inlaw with me as i know he's installed the ones from amd so maybe he will point out the difference if any. i had planned on building a rotissaire this week but he wants me to have the new floor and firewall all welded in before putting it in the air.

If you can go see it, that sounds like the best plan.  Always stinks to buy junk then have to pay shipping to return it.

well after talking it over with the father in law it looks like i'm gonna give these guys a try. this way i can afford my a pillars,inner fenders,firewall and cowl. i was surprized that while looking at parts on ebay sellers are showing amd to be made in taiwan with them being the best you'd think they were made here. i am gonna go ahead and switch my car over to a non ac car.
