He most definitely knows his stuff. Here is the custom made drive shaft that has the slip yoke built into it. Also some of the speed sensors mounted to the tail shaft and pickup off of the drive shaft rotation.

I have been working on a youtube video myself of all the pics he has sent. I will post a link as soon as I get it to work. It should be slower where you can see the pics better.

I also agree with getting the right guy for the job. There is stuff here I could never have got done or done right....
Thanks , Keith

OK here is the youtube video. Lost the sound because I just picked some music from my computer and it goes against copy write laws ( go figure).

Looks like I may need a custom made console for my  Challenger. The shifter can't be dropped into the floor enough without interfering with the driveshaft. The factory shifter used for the 6.4 hemi and NAG1 trans is just too tall to keep the factory console unless I space it up about a 1 1/2". don't think this would look good. So wanyting to venture into a custom console. Maybe the top from a LX car , but adapted to the dash. I would also like to do the stereo in it... Any ideas???

Couple of pics...
Thanks , Keith

What about using a shifter boot to hide it and lowering the console closer to stock?

That's a possibility, but wanted to try and keep the shifter close to flush at the top so a trim bezel of sorts could finish it
on top of the woodgrain. The stock shifter is just too tall.

I would use a 4-speed hump and put the tall shifter assembly under there. If you are going to change the look of the console, then you should have swapped out the whole dash too. Are you trying to keep the interior looking stock or not.

Anything can be modified to work but that tall console isn't going to cut it. That shifter can be modified and you just have to take the time to figure it out.

Hey Rob, maybe when the car gets back you can come by and help me figure out a solution. I was hoping to keep the console stock as well as the dash, but it doesn't look like its possible. I was thinking about keeping the dash somewhat stock and having a custom console adapt to it and maybe
have some room for a stereo in there too if it goes like I'm thinking.
Thanks , Keith

I'm moving my son and family in from Phoenix, the PowerTour, Carlisle, Nationals, my Cuda build, my Efi hemi project, my property reconfig, etc. I'm too busy with my own stuff before I die. Have your guy just use a 4 speed console plate and move your shifter to the left. No need to install the whole 4sp hump, just the console plate and maybe a raised cover like on a B&M shifter.

Go this site they have consoles and you can paint or wrap it in vinyl or leather to match the interior.

Trying a console from a 2011 Charger. It will need some serious mods to the front area to get it under the dash and finish it somehow. This will leave room for some stereo stuff. The sides from the front will have to be made, but I think it will all work out. Hoping to get some speakers in the new sides also. Either way I think this console will be a better choice than leaving the original. Here are some pics....
