    Front end Alignment and set up help needed.

    I am prepping the front end to get the alignment as close as possible, so that i can drive it down to an alignment shop for the finishing touches. Right now things appear to be way off. I have the tie rods adjusted all the way in and it still has a lot of toe-in. I think the upper control arm will need to be adjusted next. I have the adjustable tubular upper arms. Anyone do a write up on adjusting all these? I would like to get things as close as possible as i don't want some guys leaning over and tearing into my car. Its possible that i can trailer it to a shop also. Any ideas or help guys?

    Oh yeah, i forgot to mention that where the upper arm bolts in i have to install washers on the bolts to position the arm forward or rearward. Any idea where it should be?  And how far in or out should the arms be adjusted?

    I don't have the uppers that you have, but generally you want the upper ball joint moved more to the rear ( compared to stock).
    So the front of the uca moved outward and the rear moved inward.

     The washer placement looks good to me ( more caster) You could use a ordinary carpenters level to get camber close enough for the drive to the alignment shop. If you wind in the rod end closest to the firewall it will help with your toe in problem and get you more caster.

    Yeah any alignment info would be great. I want to get the front end done in the next couple of months as well but would like to give the shop the caster/camber and toe in numbers to go by...  :popcorn:

    These are the numbers I asked for when I got my last alignment.
     * as recommended by a few members *
    3*- 4* positive caster
    -.5* camber
    1/16 toe in.

    Stock configuration will not get the caster number. Need adjustable uca or offset moog bushings. I have the bushings and ended up with 3.5*
    Some people say -.5* is to aggressive.

    Thanks! I picked up my Moog offset bushings today - $28.95 Canadian for each set.
