Lower Left Dash Piece (Not Column Part)
« on: April 11, 2005 - 10:16:00 PM »
I am looking for the lowest left hand dash piece, the piece that continues on along the very bottom of the dash.

Whats it called, where can I get one?  :dontknow: :???: :(

I only need the one piece as mine didn't come with it when I got the car.  :gripe:

Thanks, hope this makes sense.......if not ask away and I'll try to answer your questions.

Ours was all cracked up, so we had to get it off of ebay also.  We looked at Carlisle and some there were over $100 for that little piece of plastic.  FYI...the 70's are a little different than the other years.  The 70's have a "stitch" look to them and the other years are just plain.  Really not a big difference.

On the A/C cars there was a long plastic strip about an inch wide that screwed to the very bottom of the dash frame running from under the heater control to under the glove box.  I think it was supposed to help hide all the A/C ducting.  If that's what you're looking for they are pretty hard to find.

Ah heres one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4542446832&category=34206  looks like its broken though.  Is that the part?

That is the piece (I think) But mine is about 4 main pieces, not broken thats how it came.

The piece I need (Believe it or not) is the part thats missing from the eBay link.  ::) :gripe:

Oh well....the search continues.  ;D

NZ, you missed out last year at Carlisle man.  I found mine in extremely nice condition for like $25.00.  It was the best deal I could find and believe it or not, while I was walking around with it someone asked me if it was for sale.   When I told him how much I paid for it and that there weren't any cracks or blemishes in it, he told me some guy just got done selling a broken one for $40 or $50 just a few stands down from where I found mine. :grinyes:  I'm sure you can find one, but I hope you don't have to drop too much money on it.
