That's been known for a while that the 'Cuda as a car name is dead.  Didn't pass the sniff test and they never were able to get the rights away from the All American Racers.

Chrysler doesn't own the rights to that name?  how did that happen?

There is, they just don't have a transmission that can keep itself together.  From the rumor mill... suppose to be 300+ hp AWD.... they are working on it though.

Yeah, Mopar let the name lapse a decade or so ago, so All American Racers picked it up so they could sell "AAR" and "Cuda/Barracuda" merchandise among other things.

Doesn't look like it's something they've given much thought to: http://www.automobilemag.com/auto_shows/chicago/2014/1402-chicago-2014-ralph-gilles-downplays-rumors-of-srt-barracuda-dart/

Pontiac tried to resurrect the GTO that was a flop.

Forget it a BarraCuda on a dart frame   :puke:  Another rice burner.

Chrysler needs to improve on the Challenger. Get some ideas from Mr Norm

Beefier fenders better add ons.........Better interior colors.......

Billboards were a Cuda thing. To put them on a Challenger just isn't right IMO :nono:

I talked to Ralph last Thursday at the Chicago Auto Show.

There definitely is a Dart SRT in the works.  Just as there is a SuperCharged Challenger in the works.  But they keep having issues with the bottom ends.

The next generation of Challenger will be smaller, based off a alfa/fiat platform.

That had everything to do with a coveted name attached to a compromised car with disappointing looks, not the concept.
