Can members with burnt orange cars post up some pictures that you have taken. I'm just trying to see if my car is getting the right shade.

Take a look at PPG DBU Deltron.

It was a good match.

Lol. Farmboy I saw your avatar and was hoping you would reply.

I need to find out what brand paint the bodyshop is using.

LOL
FK5 Is a interesting color to work with. Older colors have been reformulated many times over the years as individual toners are fazed out .
Surprisingly I have found PPG Omni line sometimes has a good match on more obscure colors like F7 but colors like k5 and plum crazy purple are better in DBU.

Thanks for the input Dave. I just don't want it overly bright. I've always known the color to be a bit darker that lightens in the daylight. I'm pretty sure the guy has bought all the paint already so we will see what happens. All part of the fun of getting your car done through correspondence

Have your shop do a spray out test panel before any cut in work is done.
At least then you can make a color adjustment. Or change paint lines systems.

As I see it on my monitor ,no looks to lite with the metallic laying on top.
It should be redder and more vivid.
One thing though, cameras, lighting, monitors all effect color. So it is tough to have a opinion on color match thru the web.
Do you have any part that is the original to check it against? Like under weather strip, windshield area, trunk weather strip ect.

If I'm guessing right the engine comp is original and the fender edges have the repaint.
If that is right you probably have a match and the picture is messing with the color on my monitor.
So you are probably good.

This is reaping number 2 and both times the car has been stripped. I can't think of anywhere that would have orig paint now. The fender is primer now and the engine comp is what he painted so far. The back of the fender plate is the only factory piece that I know still has the factory paint on it

Let me check today and see if I still have the left over paint from my Charger. If I do PM me your address and I'll send you a spray out card of my paint.
I'll also check today and see if PPG makes it in the water borne that I can mix at the shop.
That won't do you any good for your painter but I am curious to see how it would match.

Let me see if I still have the paint and I can send it to your painter for color check.
See what paint line he uses .Probably just the picture on my computer.
