How to fill holes?

Had a little glitch yesterday when re-installing the washer bottle. The guy helping me couldn't find the original screws. I had set them aside and repainted them. So he put in screws that were bigger than the originals. I'm wondering how to deal with the bigger holes. Can I fill them with something like JB Weld and redrill them? What other solutions are there?

I had this issue with my door panel screws. After trying some quickie attempts (like JB weld) that didn't work I had them welded up, re-hung the panels to mark the hole locations, and drilled new holes. Good luck with yours. P.S. Good help is hard to find (lol).

Is it a show car on the wheel-side of the inner fender ?

If not, put these speed nuts on the in side and screw into them...

Ya I thought of that after I posted Alan. I think I'll look for something like that. It's not a real show car but I still want to look right.

If your wheel wells are undercoated, another coat would hide those clips....

OR, if he didn't actually drill out the holes but just ran bigger screws into it, you could take a hammer and dolly- or just 2 hammers and peen the metal back into it's hole sufficiently to put the original screws in. Just don't get carried away cinching them down.
