REV-N-NATOR
« on: February 21, 2014 - 09:21:00 AM »
I just got my new REV-N-NATOR in the mail.

Anybody try one of these yet? They make some pretty strong claims of HP improvement.... :dunno:

It will be awhile before I get this in my customer's car... :burnout:

I have one on my run stand and it works good, but mine doesn't seem to have the rev limiter working as I can set it to 4K and it goes right past it with no hesitation.  Maybe I set it up wrong.  Anyway, it's worked good beside that.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Alan , Darcy ( who bought your 340 manifolds ) just got one this week too for the race car. Curious too to see if they work as claimed?

Seems too simple to be true as far as horsepower gains....When I have the motor dynoed I'm going to have them try both, a regular one first, then this one....

I've got one to put on. Won't know for sure how I like it until spring when I can road test it.

Cody, the instructions talk about maybe having to adjust the timing. Did you have to do that? What engine do you have it on?

Can't give you any numbers on horsepower yet but my rev limiter is definately working. When it was installed we thought there was something wrong with it until we realized the limiter was set to 1000 rpm. Reset it to 6000 rpm and  :burnout:

I have it in the car for more than 3 months and I like it a lot. Engine idle smoother and engine runs stronger above 4000 RPM.

Found this, I DON'T BELIEVE IT!!

Hello Everyone! This is The R/T Garage! We have updated news on The "Rev-n-nator". There has been many hrs of research and development with The Rev-n-nator in cars for the last 12 months and just finished nine hours of Dyno testing at Induction Research in Shakopee, MN. We used a pump gas 440 built by Steve Vermeer. The results were very impressive. There were approximately 30 Dyno pulls using a stock Mopar Orange box, MSD 7AL and the Rev-n-nator.
RESULTS:
MOPAR ORANGE BOX 518.8 Torque @ 3700rpm/ 514.7 HP @ 5700rpm

MSD 7-AL 519.7 Torque @ 3700rpm/ 527.6 HP @ 5700rpm

REV-N-NATOR 565.5 Torque @ 3700rpm/ 566.7 HP @ 5700rpm

This was done all on the same day with all the same settings and timing set at 32 degrees. We are cranked up about the results!! There will be a follow up dyno session in the next 30 days. We will keep you updated with the next results and scheduled release date.
WE UNDERSTAND THESE ARE HUGE GAINS, THERE CAN BE MANY FACTORS FOR THIS. THAT IS WHY WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A FOLLOW UP DYNO WITH DIFFERENT MOTORS AND DYNO LOCATIONS!!

Thank you from Troy & Laura at the R/T Garage

Install one at a time, to observe the changes due to the Revenator only.

Yea...I'm not the "engine builder" but the guy I'm working with is excited about trying out these new items. To say he's "old school" is an understatement, he suggested I stick with a carburetor etc... :screwy:

Anyways....He has his own dyno so time on there won't an issue....He says he wants to show me the difference in HP comparing EFI to Carburetion, Hooker Headers to the TTI's I bought, and now we have some ignition options to play with too...I can wait.

I bought one of these a couple months ago but haven't tried it yet.  When you get some dyno results, please share them with us Alan.  Added HP is always a good thing but I'm a little skeptical of the numbers they show.  However, even if it doesn't help with HP, I'll be happy just knowing that I don't have to worry so much about missing a gear.

Hey Alan, on your customer's car, I would NOT drill holes and bolt that ugly sucker to the firewall like most do.

Get a bracket and mount it to the rear pan rail.
