Installation of an aftermarket tachometer question

I installed an under dash tach. Wires are;(Red to electrical source)(white for illumination) (black for grounding)(green to the coil). I have everything hooked up except the battery wire. Question is; I have an accessory spot and a battery spot available on the bottom of the fuse block below#4 and #8, can i use one of these spots with an in-line fuse, and how many amp fuse should i use? Or is their another spot i could hook into without jeopardizing the rest of the cars electrical?

Crazy, is it an Autogage tach. I have one to install before spring. The timing of your question is perfect. I look forward to the replies.

it can be connected to the accessory terminal ur there are also tri plugs behind the dash , I think red is switched & yellow is not but I may have it backwards , 1 amp fuse should be lots they do not draw significant power

I found that the red is always on. Will it run my battery down if use it for hooking up my tach? I tried the yellow, but couldn't get anything from it, even with the key in the on position. I can probably use the red for connecting my constant power to my radio ( clock power).

There are 3 of them Orange is dash lighting perfect place  for the tach light as it will dim with the dash lighting , Red is battery , Yellow should be accessory ,  maybe a fuse problem ?

Right on. I will have to check the fuses. You wouldn't happen to know off hand which # it might be? If not, no problem, i can check through them all.

Pretty hard to get a picture up in there. They are real easy to spot though. You cant miss them, unless your dash wiring has been butchered.  3 different colors, orange Red, and Yellow. should have 3 round holes that you can plug a round terminal into. I see mine up above the radio location.
