Sorry to hear.

Sometimes you gotta go balistic bidding.

I once got up to $200 on a  fader dual pot 5 speaker switch before I caved in.
And I still lost.

Tell me about it.  I've been looking for these parts for a while and this was my first set I could have purchased.
I guess I'm a cheap ass.

Hey Josh,

That does suck you did not seal the deal buddy. But in all reality, you do not know what the highest bidder put in to win that auction at that price, to me i think he got a real bargain, those parts are very hard to come by buddy. But do not beat yourself up too bad about it.
This is a part i bought many many years ago off E-bay, i waited until the last seconds of the auction and put my highest bid in of $500 US, i won the auction at $495 US, this part here, by the time the exchange rate was done and the shipping included owes me just shy of $700 AUS, it is NOS and i had never seen another one listed up until this one and it is correct for Barracuda, the same as the one you missed out on was specific to Barracuda also. Sometimes you really have to aim high to get what you exactly want, i always put a bid in of the amount i am willing to spend on a specific part, and if it goes for more than i was willing to pay, then it was out of my price braket and i move on. :2thumbs:
The 8-Track bezel i have also has this cool comic strip from a newspaper in it as part of the packaging, i am guessing it was packed by a Chrysler employee back when it was first sealed, the date says it all. :clapping:

The winner got a good deal because the next highest bidder was a cheap ass....
If you really really want something on EBay, you need a sniper program, they're usually free at first then you snipe with an unrealistic high bid like in this case $1000. You'll only pay just above the highest bidder....

Sucks when the highest bidder uses the same type program with a bid of $999 :crying:

My favorite: http://www.bidnip.com/  works awesome  :2thumbs: Set the time of your bid with only 3 seconds to go....

Best thing is....you don't have to sit by the computer and get caught up in the hype in the last few hours as someone just keeps bidding you up.....You just set your limit days in advance, and forget about it....if you win great, if not, it wasn't meant to be...

I'll guarantee if you got balls to put in really high snipes....you'll win every time !

Thanks Alan   and thanks tuff340
I will try your suggestions.

Now Ola has listed the dash plastic on moparts.  Figures.  I would rather purchase from ola.
I did purchase the dash pieces from ebay just after I lost this original bid.  Thanks tuff340
The ones I got are not the 8 track ones.   :( :( :( :( :(

I also ended up with a red steering wheel triangle thing with the horn button.
