Topcat's new Hemi...pics
« on: April 12, 2005 - 06:57:19 PM »
Ok, today was my biggest day ever in my Mopar days that I've had. I feel like I have waited for 25 years for this to happen. Still a bit of work to do. Exhaust manifolds needed, correct wires,flywheel...on and on.
There is a worn out cam lobe, other than that, she turned over fine.I looked as best as I could into the engine, and I feel safe that this is a wise purchase. I thought it was still in his boat. So that is great that he already got it out.I'd like to know if any of you can help with the numbers on that I've posted. I will take official delivery when I return from Hawaii. That will be around the end of the month.
So now my 340 is up for grabs. Everything correct about it cept the valve covers, .40 out pistons, Dist.

Have you ever seen a cat type on a computer? Yeah I know, Somebody come over and give me a few lessons. Rev knows, so I'll either re-do em or we'll see about them getting fixed so they are better

i picked up  the Hemi for 5 grand. No exhaust manifolds of course since it was in a boat. My 340?
It has around 70,000 miles on it. Carb is a year  off, a 69. it's a 70 block. burns oil  on the left bank, slightly.
Probably a valve seal. So far I'm thinking 2100. with the air cleaner or 1900 without. But I want to sell it at fair market value for it's current condition.
 I even have the factory
Carter AVS upgrade jet kit....super rare for the AVS. Also has the rare spark plug heat shield which I haven't seen available anymore.
