    The American Hennessey Venom GT set a new world speed record for 2-seat sports cars by reaching a top speed of 270.49 mph. That is properly quick!!!
    It's amazing what you can do when you take a Lotus Exige and put 1200bhp and 1150lbft of torque under the hood!

    Been waiting for that title to come back to America for a while now.

    After all who is better than us at putting big motors in small cars and making them faster lol.

    Looks like we took the top spot but its all how you look at it. I don't know if this record can meet the "production car" definition.
