Parts authentic and others
« on: March 03, 2014 - 08:37:10 AM »
I am getting ready to order up some parking lens for my 70 Challenger but needs somebody to explain the difference between authentic restoration parts vs the others.
In the case of the parking lens I can get the authentic restoration parts which have the proper markings and parts number on them that part I understand. But now I see another set of parking lenses at half the price that say that they have the original markings and numbers on them at classic industries. So besides saving half what's the difference.

I can only speak of the difference between BE&A's and PG Classics. Both are manufactured by the same company in China. Both have markings on them, part numbers, RT/LH, etc...but ONLY the BE&A's have the all important Pentastar.

BE&A have spent thousands extra to get the license to put that little detail on there....

PG Classics sell the same part, no star, less money.

Classic Industries may sell ones with "original markings" but they may not include the Pentastar.

I think, BE&A are the only ones with that item licensed....I could be wrong though....
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !
