    I tried the corn starch on the Cuda and MAN does it shine!  It is a little messy but well worth it.  It is in the garage now but I can't wait to see it out in the sun!  Thanks Outlaw for the info!!!

     :dontknow: Further explanation is necessary. My mama taught me to use corn starch for thickening, you know like when making gravey?lol. :dontknow:

    So, you starched the Cuda?  Does it have a stiffer suspension now? :laughing:

    In a thread somewhere Outlaw suggested Corn Starch to someone looking to buff light scratches out of glass.  He also mentioned that he sometimes hand buffs his car with corn starch and he said it left a glass like shine.  I tried it this morning and MAN was he right.  I used a wax applicatior pad, dipped it into a pile of corn starch, and buffed away then wiped.  It is sure worth the work!

    use it on paint?
    get it wet at all?
    and before and after pics?

    Saw the same thread, been fighting with a new set of wheels so I have not been able to try it.

    I really need to see this.  I'm fixed on carnuba wax, but I am interested in just how well corn starch works.

    You use it dry and yes on the paint.  She is all covered up now but I hope to take her out in a little while.  I will take pics and post them.  You can compare them to pics I posted yesterday.  I was only going to corn starch the hood, roof and trunk at first (started to get lazy) but there was an obvious difference between the starched and unstarched surfaces, so I finished the whole car.

    How did you get the risidule dust off ? Hoze it down, and then did it get "milky", this sounds good as far as results, but what about the time/work factor. Interesting, we definately need "further review" on this April, you know, inquireing minds, and anything for a sweeter looking finish, and what is the effect with regular paint vs paint/clearcoat?  :dontknow:

    I wiped the residue off.  I didn't want to wet it down because I would think it could turn to glue (LOL).  I do have some powder left over in some crevises (sp?) but i plan to pull her out later and take the compressor to it and it should all be taken care of.  As far as regular paint vs. paint/clearcoat, I have no idea.  Outlaw will have to answer that question.  As far as the time/work factor, it doesn't take as long as it would to wax it.  I did put a coat of this wax I used called Flash over it after doing the starch.  I should have pics in a little while.

    Now that's something I've never heard of before! I may have to try some of that on some clearcoat on one of my cars.

    I assume you had to wet the applicator to make the starch stay on the applicator?
