Mopar wrecking yard in NC, need any small stuff?
« on: March 06, 2014 - 05:04:44 AM »
I'm heading down to visit family in NC and I read about this "Mopar wrecking yard" on another forum. Anyone know if it's still up and running?
From what I've read the owner has died and the family is selling off parts/cars? :dunno:  I thought if I got bored I would take a drive over and see what's up? I'm on the hunt for more 73 C-body spindles that are reasonably priced.
If I spot any e-body's with red interior parts I know to grab them for Josh, but anyone else looking for something I could transport in the family Suburban? I'm leaving to drive down in about an hour. It's only -15C here this morning, I'm going to miss the cold! :eek4: (NOT!)
I'll check back on this post once I get down there or at a internet connection.

I got this info off another Mopar site

Billy Peedin Garage
819 Batten Farm Road
Selma, NC
Phone: (919) 965-5405
Peedin's (Billy West Peedin's Garage) is on 819 Batten Farm Road in Selma 27576. Phone is 910-965-5405 but they are usually only open a couple days a week these days - Thursday 2-5pm and Sat 10 to 4 pm. If you have not been there you need to go check it out.

Rear defog setup would be nice

any gran coupe specific parts like interior trim (I know I have become a hoarder haha)

overhead console low fuel relay. If still in a car it is mounted under the dash on the passenger side between the glove box and door jamb. These came on gran coupe barracuda and challenger SE for sure and any car optioned with overhead console.

Black 8 track lower dash trim would be nice

Drivers side AC duct that goes over to main AC box

I stay up to date for the most part on the forum but if you find any I this stuff PM me.

Thanks!!

Brad,

When you get a chance, and if you get there, would you possibly offer a quick write up of the place?

I'm in Raleigh, this place isn't that far away from me.

Specifically, I'm looking for 72-74 Challenger metal.

I don't need you to go nuts looking for certain parts, but if there are back ends in decent shape (trunk floors, rear quarters, frame rails), it's worth the trip.

No rush, hope you enjoy your vacation.  It's chilly here now (not Canada cold!), but should be almost 70 (Fahrenheit) by the weekend!

If you're in Raleigh and want to see a car that needs a lot of work, let me know! =)

Thanks,

Bob

Bandt, I was at the Mopar swap meet near Detroit in Jan. A vendor there had 3 or 4 of them. Don't know now who it was but I'd bet he would be there again next year.

Looks like this guy that posts on Facebook often about his hoard of Mopars out there.  Seems like a nice guy.  Looks like alot of cars!

When I get to Raleigh, NC this May for a bit, I'll need to get out there.

With the popularity of this thred, I'd start looking at trailer rentals!

But just to say it again, if you can get a contact for this place or an e-mail so perhaps people on here could get a hold of him for parts that would be worth it's weight in gold. I am sure he cuold do some business on here!
