Hockey Stripe on a 73?
« on: March 07, 2014 - 08:08:38 PM »
I have a 73 Cuda. I do not like the wide 73 issue stripe but I like Hockey stripes.  I am thinking seriously about breaching the code of originality by putting one on my 73.
Would you do it?  The car will not be shown and I guess I justify it by telling myself that 99.9 percent of people don't know the difference but that .1 percent will give me sh*t for doing it.
Help me decide.
Oh, it's a 340.

If that is the look you like, then I say go for it.  :2thumbs: It is your car and you are the driver/owner, it is your right to personalize it how you want. What colour car and hockey stick are you going to go with

My motto .... Your car your way. Your not going to get grief from me.
While there is always an ass in the crowd, tell'em to go F themselves! The half of them don't even own a car much less up to the a as standard there (remarking or trying) to tear you down at!

Correct except for Keisler 5 speed. It is in for paint now and was Rallye Red but I wanted a redder red so I am getting the current Challenger red which doesn't have as much of an orange tint. So, since I have already changed it I guess it doesn't matter if I put a stick on it.
thanks for your support.

I have always been a big fan of the hockey stripe.  If I had a 73 Cuda it would get the hockey stripe (unless it was AAR clone with the strobe stripes!)  The hockey stripe does such a great job of showing the clean, graceful quarterpanel lines on a Cuda!

I had a 73 Cuda years ago and when I had it painted I put a hockey stripe on it.  Had it custom painted.
Gotta love it.
What color stripe are you thinking ?

JUST like that; red with black stripe. only with 340 on it.
What color red is that? Looks redder than Rallye, which I like. Redder I mean.
thanks.
