I went ahead and bought the 73 up dust shields.

So what I learned:

If you change the spindles to 73 up which are larger, then you also need the rotors and the dust shields for  all it work together.

I still am not 100% that these dust shields I bought are right but my gut feeling is they are.

Center hole measures 2.550-2.560" (from a 1973 Barracuda).

No problem.  If the ones you ordered don't work out let me know and I'll sell you mine real cheap... although they might not be good enough for your car (one has some rust damage).

I put the reproduction 73 up shields and it worked.
I had to wallow out a few of the holes so it would mount flush.

The 70-71's could've been modified to fit.
They curve in on the edges more than the later dust shields.
