Heads are Ported Stage V by Tim Banning at FHO. Just waiting for Manton pushrods and I'll button it up. I have to fab up a throttle bracket and that's about it. I'm hoping it will be completed and in paint by the end of next week. I'll figure out pulleys and build a shaker baseplate after I swing the engine into the car. Oh, I also have to weld up the Hooker headers a bit to get a better port match on them. But it's crawling forward a bit at a time.
I also picked up another E-body 4 speed this week that I'll put a Passon OD gearset into this winter. I want to keep the original 3.55's in the back that the car came from the factory with so the Passon and the 4.15 stroke should all work well together. This year I'll run the original 833 (somewhat carefully).

Thanks Ken. Mostly spent the summer waiting for parts but the engine is finally built and in the car. I have a few pieces to fab up yet so it will still be awhile before I light it up. I also have to rebuild the center section in the rearend but that's only a day project.

Groundhog view. Should be ready to fire next weekend unless I hit a snag or two. Doesn't look so stock from this angle. The 3 inch exhaust does snake around the rear swaybar no problem.

It runs great and it's totally obnoxious. Neighbors don't look as happy and at ease as they used to! Valvecovers and intake have been retightened with no leaks, cam is broken in. Time to mount the hood and build the shaker base. I was going to do a wheel alignment tomorrow actually but now the repro spindles are suspect. I think I'll do the alignment anyway and double check with Cass on Monday regarding the spindles.
Also have to tidy up the underhood bits and cut off the 3 inch tailpipes and mount the tips. It should all be fun now though.

I must have received the same registered letter on my spindles... Kind of glad they are still in the box!  :scared:

I wonder if they'll pay me shop rate and materials and ship them for free as well as pay import fees? I guess I'm just fed up with the repro industry right now. I don't know how many repro parts I broke installing or didn't fit and I ended up finding and cleaning up original parts. I'd be embarrassed if I was in that business. I waited two weeks for the throttle cable for instance, installed it, checked for full throttle and it broke right there, just junk.

Close enough to calling it done. Still waiting for the new clutch (it was held up over a week at customs) then I'll change it, install the exhaust tips and a few other minor items.
Spent last weekend building the aircleaner, it sits a shiver high but it's chose enough and everything it tight everywhere. Did the wheel alignment today and was surprised when I got 4 degrees of caster out of the stock (sort of) components.
