70 Cuda
« on: March 12, 2014 - 05:21:22 PM »
I have to face the facts . I,m having health issues and I,m never going to do my 70 Cuda .It is a 383 automatic with a 8 3/4 rear end . Numbers match but motor needs rebuilding and probably the trans does as well . The shell and frame are shot (*rust :dunno:) . It comes with a good grill and a parts grill . I'd give the doors a 7 out of 10 'The front suspension is off the car But with everything being apart it can be moved pretty easy . Bottom line I guess it is a numbers matching 70 383 Cuda parts car. Please don't ask about pitchers I'm no good as this computer stuff and pitchers would be a big thing for me besides the car is buried in the garage right now . The quarters were changed at a time when all you could get were halves with no marker lights (poor job ) might get some good patches out of them . I have the fender tag somewhere but nothing special ., Not sure if I should try to sell all together or part it out ? Fenders no good maybe parts . Trunk lid full of holes where a spoiler was rivited on . New pair of repo gills for rockers .

Thanks for any input not sure how to handle this I use to dream of finding a 318 or 6 cyl and building from there .  :dunno:

Sorry to hear about your heath issues, and giving up your car.  :sadwavey:

That said, for a 1970 Cuda, 383 auto, in the condition you say, it would be a good deal for someone (and move quickly) in the 5-6 thousand dollar range.  If you have parts to include, new front end, sheet metal and the like, and it is a desirable color, or cool options, you could ask a little more.  If you don’t mind waiting for it to sale, I would ask up to $8000 - $9000.

Rust issues will scare away a lot of buyers.

What is the fender tag readout?

Is it a BS code?

It's 5 AM up for work I'll look when I get home . For all it's worth there was embelems on it that said Cuda on the inside door panels and the tail light panel and it is a 4 barrel although the original carb is gone . It now has a holly and a Torker intake .
