I'm in the process of disassembling my steering column for restoration. I've been following the article on http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/techarticles/suspension/mopp_0308_rebuilding_steering_column/ and the excellent write up on http://ron.peterro.com/?p=20I;ve got the column completely disassembled except for the ignition switch. I've removed everything else from the housing as instructed. I've tried pushing down on the release pin through the small hole as instructed and nothing happens. Even taped the the probe lightly with a hammer in case it was stuck. Still wont' release. I did notice that with the key removed from the switch, the outside of the housing where the key goes in will turn 360 degrees. If I put the key in it operates correctly and stops where it is supposed to. Is it normal for it to turn 360 degrees with no key and the other components removed? I've looked down the small hole with a flashlight and there doesn't appear to be a pin in there. Any ideas on how to get the switch out? Drill out where the pin is supposed to be? Any advice is greatly appreciated. ThanksBrad
