HOLY CRAPOLA Alan, they are insane. I would love to have a set of B1's, they are the hot ticket, strange you are only using them on a 512ci engine too.

Ha!!

All good Kenny...I know which way I'm going....Paul has a set of 440 source over at Elko, and headers to suit. I'm heading over to Matts this arvo to tune the Orange Chally a bit leaner.
I appreciate the input from all you guys...its educational.

Kenny,

Will do.
 :aussie:
Today, Matty lassooed me into going up into the mountains around Panton Hill to an AP5 wagon that has been there for 40 years on its roof.
We got the manifolds and are going back for the moulds and door chrome!!  we had to take out the K frame to get the motor out .......geez what I do in the name of the Gods Of Mopar!!

Mozz!! :aussie:  lucky there was beer!!

Ok,

After a disastrous dyno result. Time for the works.....OK

Those Dynos sure make one humble don't they? Heads will make a difference but if you are not stock take a look at the combo you have. Lots of guys mismatch their components eg small manifold and carb, big cam, low compression. Back in my expat kiwi in Aussie days I hung around with a guy that had a 3 year old Falcon GTHO and it went good. We found an old mechanic down in Wollongong and when he spent 6 hours on that engine it was insane when we came back up the hill back to Sydney. My point is that the old tune up guys are disappearing with time. Anyway the alloy heads will allow you to run better compression with crap gasoline we get now and will definitely bolt some hp on but be careful as you will fall into the trap a lot of us have done and that is the need for speed. Once you start dismantling the engine think $$$$$$$$$.   :nzflag:

73Estroker, Yeah...I get it!!   The minute i crack open the first head bolt I know it's an adventure into the bottom of the piggy bank!!  All I want is 300hp at the rear and I'll be happy!! :burnout:

Kenny!!  Matt presented me with a pistol grip for the '70!!  I am borrowing it til he gets his shifter changed from a 72 T-bar to a "70!
However, I just found on ebay a pistol grip that goes on to the 71 - 74 T-bar assembly!  Now I just gotta get his attention!!
Unfortunately he doesn't even know how to turn on a computer!!

Mozz  Cheers

Hey Mozz,

Shoot me a PM with your mobile number. I will shoot you a picture of my shifter and see if Matty wants to wait until my shifters are available, as i convert either 70 style or 71-74 style Slap-Sticks, Matty just may like the look of mine if you show him what they look like first. :2thumbs:

I recently picked up a set of the CNC'd Stealth heads for the Roadrunner.  One thing that hasn't been mentioned that was a big plus for me was the fact that the Stealths looke very original once painted.  I'm going for a 70's correct hotrod look and don't recall ever seeing any of the cars with big slab sided aluminum heads back then.  If you're going for the modern racecar no matter, but if you want something that could pass for stock, Stealths all the way.  Still trying to make a final decision between stroking the original 383 or going the route of a 440 sixpack motor, either way I have my heads for the build.
