What is the best new carb out there for the street Mopar

That's a wide open question. To me, it all depends on the application. A mild small block with a numerically low gear and an automatic transmission would need a whole different carb setup than a 700 hp big block with a 4 speed and 4:56 gears. It all depends.....

I voted other. Adjustability/tune ability, also uses standard Holley parts is what sold me.

I had 2 different Eddys on my 340 motor, neither one worked, I put a 750 quick fuel ss on and it works good.

I really like the Proform / Quickfuel carbs there will be one for your application , Holley HP series is decent too

I have a 70 cuda whit a 383 whit comp cams xtreme energy 262 cam, hedders, performer RPM intake, forged pistons. and 727 stock converter and 3.73 gears.

I voted for the AVS due to the "In General Question" being asked. As said above, this is application dependent. It is also dependent on what your comfy working on. For in general useage to a well built up power plant, there is nothing wrong with a Edelbrock carb. I don't like the AFB but love the AVS. There rock steady and reliable.

For serious engines & your looking for every last pony,  I love a good Holley based carb.

If you tKe the time with the carb you have (any carb really) it will perform.

I've learned the TQ's really well. There a excellent carb if you take the time to learn them. Excellent at double duty. Though tuning parts are hard to find and the first year TQ is super hard to find tuning parts for because it is metered differently.

I voted "Other" because the Holley HP series were not on the list. I like them because of their built in adjustability, wide variety of cfm rated carbs for many applications. They are easy to work on, easy to adjust and perhaps the biggest reason is they are Holleys. This means that most major parts houses have parts for them if you need it in an emergency. You can find gaskets, jets, floats, and most parts that you might need for a Holley at most parts stores. Try that with a lot of other carbs..

I as well voted other as I currently run 1000CFM HP on my 500CI stroker and love it. Easy to tune, streetable, and parts available everywhere!!!! I had never tuned a carb until I purchased my 'Cuda and started to weekend drag it - I found almost instantly that the Holley responds very well and is in fact easy to troubleshoot once you play a little - not to mention unlimited information availabe. This is now my 3rd Holley I believe on this car and they have all had their benefits - I think now I am done fooling with the fueling.

I do realize other brands have their benefits as well, and some also use Holley parts - imagine that.

You don't mention the type of transmission you have, but I agree that this is a loaded question.   

Even if this is just a street car, like mine, you want to get the most out of it, right?

I clicked other because why run a carb when there are so many EFI solutions out there.
Rethinking I guess there is the cost factor

Worked on Holley's for years and years and know all the ins and outs which is why it got my vote.
