AAR Water Pump

Hey guys the water pump on my original 340-6 is going out. Does anyone know if the AAR used a special water pump with the TA 340 block or can I just use a standard one?

Same as any other small block.

Get the one with 9 holes in the casting on the front surrounding the shaft it has more blades than the ones with 4 or 5 holes in the casting on the front surrounding the shaft . I have quite a few nice part numbered factory original 70 date coded 9 hole cores here if you decide you want to send an original in and have it redone PM or e-mail me

AAR may have used the 6 blade impellor to increase HP , in theory they only make the 8 blade one new now so you may want to have one built for you or rebuild the original
