Where does clock get its power ? UPDATE !

70 Rallye dash clock

Does it get its power from the alt gauge + feed or from a gauge that gets its power from the voltage limiter  ?

My clock gets power from the amp gauge. But mine isn't a rallye dash so I'm not sure if it's the same.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

I took mine from one of those triple red plugs that poke out of the under dash harness. That is continuous 12v power.

Update.....

I received a new clock from OER through Roseville. I powered it off of the alt gauge + terminal. The second hand worked perfect but the clock would lose 1/2hr in a 2hr time period. I contacted John at Roseville, who in turn contacted OER. OER is sending a new clock, but apparently they asked if my voltage limiter was good. This makes me wonder if my clock should've been powered off of it instead of the alt power.

Does anyone have their 70 Rallye clock powered off of the voltage limiter ?

Doesn't the voltage limiter only have voltage when the key is in the "on" position or the car is running?

It sounds like a bad clock to me.

I hadn't thought about the limiter only having voltage with the key, which means that whoever Roseville spoke to at OER didn't know what they were talking about.
