Need Pics and Specs for Brake Lines 73 Cuda
« on: March 28, 2014 - 07:39:14 PM »
Specifically, I'm in need of pictures of the "long" front to rear brake line routing and size of line. I have pics of the line from under the seats and around the rear rail to the rear hose, but none of that line from the combo valve and around the front frame rail. Being very cheap and slightly handy, I'm going to attempt bending and routing the line myself.

Thanks.

No routing, but here's the line's in the engine bay and down the front frame rail.  Obviously, not installed.
Is this kind of what you need?

Here is one of my chally from the side view.  72 chally.
You might have to blow it up, but all the routing is there in the picture.

Larry's got the same setup I have. From what I gathered looking at another 73 today, the rear line just goes straight down, turns back and follows the frame rail until it hits the crossmember, where it turns again and goes through the oblong hole. I got most of it bent up and routed today. Will post pics when it's done.

Naturally, my rear diff tee hose has been cut and the bracket that holds the end to the rear seat wall is MIA.

Thanks guys.

This is what I was looking for. The combo valve is from some other body style (wrong bracket) and you can ignore the double line-lock nonsense. The location of the lower line going back is what I was after.

Hey Steve,
No help on your set-up for what you have but nice shots of the Z-bar bracket.
here is my 71 brake lines just for fun.
I was getting my z-bar welded in at the time.

Here's what I ended up with. I used generic 3/16 line from NAPA. No fancy spring-wound stuff.

Tom, I see you used the GM style combo valve. Let us know how you like it.
