The Biggest and Most "Must Attend" Show of 2014?
« on: March 29, 2014 - 08:55:30 AM »
If we were to disregard location, which show would be the biggest for this year?  That no matter where we are located, we would take the time to attend?

The only true Mopar CAR SHOW to attend is Carlisle hands down.  :2thumbs:

Now if you want to go to a Mopar racing event that includes show cars and a swap meet....try The Mopar Nationals. :burnout:

No doubt Carlisle Chrysler is HUGE.....but what I've heard is that only about 2/5ths of it is MOPAR?  Way too many modern rides/vendors?

We will be having the 31st annual Southwest Street Rod Nationals in town next weekend. April 11, 12, 13 & 14th.  :burnout:  :2thumbs:

While there are a few mopars that attend, I love checking them out and visiting with the owners.  :drunk:

Not sure of where you heard that :screwy: Maybe 1/5 of the show is newer stuff. You won't find a better display of Mopar show cars gathered anywhere at one time.

Classic Industries and BEA aren't on the Carlisle vendor list?

Can't speak for Classic Industries, but like YearOne they are a warehouse operation, so it would be too much hassle to bring inventory to a show. I don't know if they bother with a catalog hand out place like YearOne sometimes does. :dunno:

As for BE&A, I hear he stopped going to shows altogether.  :clueless:
Apparently the owner figures if you want his parts you'll go to him  :dunno:

It costs a lot of money to set-up large displays at any show :2cents:

If you are looking for an all MOPAR show . . . I have to agree that Carlisle is probably at the top of the list . . .but just the biggest car show.. .. That would probably be the Woodward Cruise.  Thousands of car of all makes and models.  It is an all week show for sure these days.

10s of 1000s of cars. It really is an amazing spectacle.

One that hasn't been mention yet is - and DO NOT stop reading because of the name of the show - is the MuscleCar And Corvette Nationals. Near Chicago each November, it's over 500 cars indoors, many car-related vendors, used car corral, and Mopars ARE represented well. We do a vendor spot there, but we are also "car guys" with our company president truly bleeding Rallye Red. Please, take a few minutes and go to www.MCACN.com and look through the site. This show also has had a good amount of coverage in many magazines this year, so please take the time to learn more about it, as you owe it to yourself. the BEST indoor show we've been to, and been to a lot of them across the nation. Yup, it's that good. This post is from "car guy - to car guy" not just a vendor.

Have YOU been there?

Your opinion?
