Well guys, I pulled the trigger!



I also have all the wiring harnesses and modules from the 300C it came from, such as the TCM, BCM, factory boston acoustic amplifier, subwoofer, electronic gas pedal etc. now just a few more goodies and I'll have her ready to go in!!

Bad news is I tweaked my back getting her out of the truck, :( getting old stinks!

I will be running by July I hope!

I'm going to mate this engine up to my 4 speed and use the bouchellon performance AC kit to utilize my factory air conditioning box. I'm also going to incorporate the 300C instrument cluster into the dash, utilizing all the nifty features like door ajar indicators showing what's open, directional compass, ambient temperature, low fuel light to work with overhead console, high beam and turn signal indicators, e brake indicator etc. I have seen this done once before in YouTube. It looks very nice but he used the nag1 auto transmission instead of a manual and he also used the irs off the car.

I am thinking about it. The only issue is that the hemi is can bus technology, which makes modifying the stock harness tricky. I can easily run a stock 2005 hemi truck ECM with no issues whatsoever for a mere $300 and done. If I go this route, I will have to build a driver for the speedometer and tach to work. If I can reuse the factory 2006 300C ECM and BCM the. I would only have to worry about the speedometer connection.

I'm trying to find online what the factory pulse signal is for LX cars. I know most digital drivers are 8,000 pulses per mile

Update:

My order of AMD sheet metal is in route! Well, part of it anyways.

Once I finish welding in the US Cartool SFC's, I will tackle the passenger rear quarter panel. I'm replacing it not because of rust, but because of a bad collision repair done in the 80's with large amounts of body filler and overlaying an oem quarter on top of the damaged one  :banghead:

Also, I figured out my gauge setup. I will build a stand alone engine harness for the engine to run off of a non-CANbus 2005 Hemi Ram ECM.
I will then use a hall effect sensor adapter on the transmission speedometer gear, the factory 05 tach pin out and other options through an Arduino microcontroller with CAN interface. This will drive the gauges in a CANbus language while the engine will remain non-CANbus.

I ran across this recently. It uses the GM harness and ECU. This will also provide more tuning options since you can go to the local Piggly Wiggly to purchase high performance parts for any GM product.

Sounds good. Did you find a writeup on the internet somewhere? I thought using the ram ecu was more in the thousand dollar range with the harness and ecu flash? Then you still need a dyno tune? I plan on going with Megasquirt for mine but my dad wants to put a gen 3 in his gtx so I would rather run a stock ecu as he will always leave it stock and I still have reservations about megasquirts reliability.

I have read about that. The only thing I don't like is having to change the crank reluctor wheel. Breaking the "factory seal" and having to redo bearings is kind of offsetting. But yeah the tuning options are limitless with a GM ecu
