What year seats are these?
« on: April 03, 2014 - 11:26:17 PM »
Can someone confirm that these are 1971 seats out of a Cuda?  Can these seats be recovered with 1970 covers or would I also have to replace the foam as well?

-Thanks

Yes and Yes.

What 70' pattern are you wanting to convert to?
Foams are different on what option the seats were.

I'm looking for the standard 1970 Cuda' pattern (my car is a 340 Cuda').  In thinking about the 70 pattern and looking at these seats, I am pretty sure I will have to replace the foam if I was to buy these seats.

Yes those seat frames will work for 70 Cuda seats, but as mentioned, you'll be best off replacing the foam with correct 70 stuff :2cents: The tracks on them are not E Body.
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Alan thanks for commenting on the tracks, I was wondering about that.  Looks like a set of tracks would also be in order, so these seats are looking much less attractive now.
