Hockey stick stripes were Black only

Yeah, but geez they really should have offered a couple of more colors ... after all, you could get the V6? side stripes on a Challenger in seven different colors ... why not a couple V6? colors for the Cuda? Guess the front office blew their vinyl graphics allocation budget on the Challenger and the Cuda was left with budgeting for only a single color vinyl graphic ... black of course. Just another one of those mysterious front office decisions that we can only speculate about. :drunk:
Cheers!

My bad.  It was new to me.  When I couldn't find any pics of the data plate, then I started to become a bit suspicious.

No worries. It's not your fault.

They at least halfway learned something when they brought out the V4 stripes.

Yes, it is mostly original paint. Have a Buildsheet with all correct Codes. It was stored since 1978.

It was the recommended bumblebee stripe color for Plum Crazy cars, so it isn't really odd.

I would say that is a matter of opinion. Because it was recommended doesn't necessarily make it correct or fitting, just what someone in the marketing department of Dodge in 1970 thought, I see a yellow stripe on a purple car with a black interior "a bit odd". Not saying its wrong as it is a matter of opinion, just saying that to me, its different. Again, I think it is striking and looks good, but I suspect a lot more were ordered with a black or white rump stripe over the yellow one despite it being the recommended color.

Not trying to start an argument here, just offering a comment.

V9Y

That's one interesting V9Y! My uncle might have one before in the 80's. We'll just finish installing the brake kit and atv tires on brother's TRX project and I'll come over to uncle's garage for his JK project. I'll ask if he still got some photos his 'Cuda.

and my screen locked up after posting.  Then the search engine wouldn't find this thread even with the exact wording of the topic title.
