Somebody is definitely proud of that car!  Is that blonde haired boy with the black Converse high-tops you ek? Love those blast from the past photos! :2thumbs:

Great car btw ... what's the story behind it, and whatever happened to it? :dunno:

There was never a 4:10 ratio offered in an 8 3/4 equipped muscle car.....maybe a pick-up or something.
If you wanted 4:10's you got a Dana 60.

So what's the diff between A32 and A34 ... other than the former being behind an auto and the later behind a 4-speed? max-cooling package? dual-point distributor? power disc brakes? Hemi suspension?  :dunno:

Thought I'd add to this long-lasting trail.  Back in 1976, in my senior year, I bought a 71 RT 383, Tan Poly, brown interior, Black top and stripes, and the usual RT hood in flat black.  Not that unusual in the big scheme of things, but I thought it was a beautiful car (colored like the one above on this trail with the shaker).   Had the car for over five years, and sold it cheap and stupid. Sellers remorse for thirty years.

For the past ten years, I've been enjoying a 73 Rallye which was ordered kinda odd.  318, Rallye, Top Banana, Stripe delete, White Top, Black interior, column shift no console, A/C, 3.55, sways bars, heavy shocks, 26-inch radiator, AM radio.  For the folks who are under the impression Rallye cars only came with 340s, yes, this is per the tag - it is a G engine with A57 Rallye.

The later small-block Rallye cars also shipped with the torsion bars of the 71 383 cars, so when I went with a 383 block with alum heads and 727, the original springs are just fine.  With a 1 1/8 Addco front bar, it really holds.  I also changed the column, added console and slapstik, and exhaust tips.  The previous owner (a resto shop) added a mock (not exact) 71 stripe when he went over it with a fresh coat of everything.  I get a lot of double-takes 'cause it looks like a 71 RT setup in a 73.

My 1970 Challenger Convertible is FE5 bright red, 383 4 barrel, Auto 727, AC, PS, PB, Rallye wheels, Rim Blow steering wheel, 6-way driver seat, PW, cruise control, variable speed wipers w/ electric washers, delay headlights, power white top, AM-FM stereo radio, 3 speaker dash, Red interior, light package, Rally dash fender turn indicators, collapsible spare tire.  I have had Galen Govier register it and according to him there were 84 auto 383-4BBL convertible built in 1970.  I think I got a rare one.
