'70 Cuda 340 4-speed Convertible
1 of 88 made in 1970.
Not a high option car but still a low production number.
Originally a White top car and EF8 Ivy Green
When I got it in 1987 it had no top at all so I put a black top on. I just couldn't picture it with a white top.

Here it is with the new wheels and tires
Finally a nice day to get the Cuda out.
Firestone Wide Oval Indy 500 on Year One Rallye Wheels. Front 17"x8" 4.5" BS, 245/45R17, Rear 17"x9" 4.5" BS, 275/40R17
Both front and rear tires are 25.7" tall. Still sitting on old suspension.

Not a big item but the thread asked for rare.  I've heard of others but never have seen another C-14 code "rear seat shoulder belts".  The car is well optioned but not too unusual until you get to the C-14.  I would like to see or hear of another.

I would like to humbly add my car to this post.

1970 `cuda convertible (BS27_0B) produced for USA Speifications have been accepted as 548 units built.
Out of the 548 units, a small percentage (only 19 cars) were built with the H6E4 Red interior.
Out of the 19 cars, I know of 7. I have them in the Registry.
2 BS27R0B both D32 automatic
3 BS27N0B all three D32 automatics
2 BS27H0B one D32 automatic and one D21 4-speed manual

I have yet to find another one similar to my car. So far, it is the only manual trans, H6E4 Red interior BS27_0B car known. (Anyone know of any?)

In Oct of 1969 I took delivery of a factory ordered '70 'Cuda.  It was triple black with a 383, 4-speed and 3:55 limited slip rear end.  The thing that made it a rarity, besides being triple black, was that it had AC but no power steering.  (It also got me married, but that's a long story.) When I first ordered it, it didn't have AC either.  A week after I ordered it I changed my mind about having a black car in So. Cal without AC and added the AC to the order.  Didn't order PS because I didn't want to "rob" any power from the engine.  (What an idiot I was).   :banghead:  Also, had the black rubber front bumper, rallye gauges, AM/FM stereo multi-plex radio with rear speakers and rear window defogger.  I also ordered 15" steelies with the police hub caps which I promptly junked to add mag wheels.    :22yikes:  I keep it three years and then sold it to buy a '66 Toyota Landcruiser with a 327 Corvette engine. :pullinghair:  If we had only know then what we know now!

My current restoration project is 1 of 134 Cuda's built in 1970.  matching numbers; 440U, 4-speed, pistol grip w/console,  Dana 60 4.10 rear end with Super track Pak, rallye gauges, No PS or AC.  AM with 8 track radio.

1970 Plymouth 'Cuda.  Matching numbers 440 U Code, 4 speed pistol grip, Rallye dash, AM 8 Track, Shaker hood, 15 inch rallye wheels, Dana 60 4.10, Super Track Pak.  One of 134 - 440 "U" coupes codes built in 1970 and one of 100 - 440 Super Track Paks built in 1970.

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

My car came with P6Y3 6 way seats.

I haven't seen or heard of those on any others.
It was a Gran Coupe option.

Sadly, I got rid of them since I hated beige interior at the time.

I believe Iggy still owns it. He bought it from LMC about 3 weeks after I sold it to them. Said it was one of his best driving cars :2thumbs:

Here is my car as purchased back in 1982! Looks the same today, except has some dust on it. The seller said it was on the Dealer Showroom floor and their demo/draw car. Highly optioned for a muscle car for that time. The car has only 68k miles on it and the paint is original. Very little changes have ever been done to this ride. Numbers matching motor and tranny that have never been out of the car. The fender tag pretty much tells the story.  The door tag is also included which shows a manufacture of 9/69, while the SPD shows 802. This is true to form as some posts by Barry Washington.

Cudaragtop, that second picture of your car looks like I can see Mt Rainier in the background and the body of water looks like the Columbia River up stream from Portland.   How far off base am I?

Not far...
That view is actually looking north from the Everett Marina Boat Launch parking lot.
The mountain in the distance is Mt. Baker and the body of water is Puget Sound.
