How about this 71 Cuda I owend a while back.
This was an ordered car....

340 4spd
Air Conditioning
White exterior
Orange/black interior

Original owner ordered 15" wheels, but NOT ralleys so he got 15" steelies. (450's) :smokin:

Original owner DELETED the tinted glass that came standard with air conditioning :screwy:

Original owner DID NOT order a radio, so it did not come with one. :grinno:

I sold this car to Peter Klutt of Legendary Motor Cars for $75K :22yikes:........back in the hey-day

One of the nicest I've ever seen!

Thanks...Unfortunately I had a computer crash shortly after restoring it, so I don't have very many pictures of the restoration. It was featured in two magazines back it the day including MCG  :2thumbs: http://www.alangallantautomotiverestoration.com/ALAN-IN-PRINT.html

How close could you get the car if you did a road trip from where it is to where you are ? I am having flashes of Vanishing point right now........ :2thumbs:
The problem is this , Panama puts a tax on any car imported , generally 30% of the value , not an appraisal or bill of sale but their determined value , so being 40 years old they could value it at $2000 or they may have watched BJ & assess it at $250,000 , I am trying to find out what the taxes would be before bringing it here but so far I have had no luck finding a contact in customs that can give me a value !
As far as driving it you would have to drive through Mexico & Honduras , everyone knows about Mexicos problems but Honduras is far more dangerous with 8800 murders / year which is more dangerous than Afganistan so the car needs to be shipped

:faint: :wow: Neil, i really hope you do find a way to get it home with you buddy. If that will not work out, i am sure Brad could put up another carport to house your Challenger at his place for you and then you could meet up with him for every Carlisle and cruise in convoy together to events :2thumbs:

Neil, dont want to be a smart xxx but here in Thailand they add 335% in tax (provided that you get a permit to import your car- hard to get..).
They also have a determined value but its more like a recommendation to the customs officer. Have tried to get an estimation from customs and they usually say "bring the car here and we will give you our fee...".
Yeah, right, will do so....

Neil

Do you think the reason that Panama is not as dangerous is because of long time American involvement of the canal or is it just rich country/poor country  thing? It would be interesting to hear your take.

Wow!  That M46 has some really cool options.

A21 and A31.  Really cool.

What happened to the car?

How about a 70 R/T Hemi Orange Conv. with a Saddle Tan S/E Interior. After you do the math on the percentages built with these options it comes up as 1/2%. Good chance it is a one of one.

I've never seen one like mine it's a 70 Challenger 383 auto car but it came in Alpine white with green interior and a green Vinyl top tinted windows and the rubber molding. Not the rarest but a cool color combo. In the process of resto check the threads!!
