What headers do you have and how is the clearance?

I think you may have reversed the reverse lever on the 4 speed. It should be pointing up and you have it pointing down very near your headers.

But if it works, that will do!

Yep, your right.
It might work out of the car as is but the shifting to reverse won't be right. It'll be backwards.
You should be able to pull towards drivers seat and forward for reverse. The way it's set up now, it will be towards drivers seat and back.

Edit: actually, it's in reverse right now (in that pic). To verify, get your meter and check the reverse switch. It will have continuity if in the reverse position. Should have nothing in the neutral position. Or just turn the tail shaft. If it doesn't turn freely, it's in reverse.

But I must say, that is a very nice looking 440.  :2thumbs:  :ylsuper:

I have the tti 1-7/8 headers and the clearance is great. Lots of room.

Hp_cuda, the reverse lever is wrong. It was fixed once installed and we noticed it.

Out of curiosity can you take a pic of tubes 2 and 3 to show the clearance between the tubes and the steering box?

Thanks,
Bryan
