Hi Team
does anyone have a pic of the MF supplied muffler hangers installed in the factory locations please, also, has anyone fitted resonators to a 2 1/2" MF system along side the gas tank without having to modify the pipe shape over the axle, seems only very short resonators would fit. I'd rather not have to alter the mandrel bent tubing if possible.

BUMP

I am planning on using MF mufflers beside my ebody tank. What diameter are you planning on using?

Once I have the TTi 2.5" (muffler delete/MUFFLER ELIMINATOR PIPES) X-pipe system mounted, then I will measure to confirm the correct size. But 6" diameter should fit  in between the frame rail and tank and 14" or maybe an 18" long muffler at the most is my guess. If that is too tight, then MF also makes them in 5" diameter.
If this muffler is too loud for the street, then I will buy a 3.5"/4" muffler to install in the MUFFLER ELIMINATOR PIPES to act as resonators. This along with the TTi X-pipe should bring the loudness of the straight thru exhaust down to a decent level for the street.

Ok, I just purchased a pair of MF "6x6" race mufflers, they are 6" in diam, 6" long, not sure they will do a whole lot but a) they will fit into the area needed b) something is better than nothing. Thr factory resonators from memory are around 7" in diam.

The factory resonators were in front of the axle.  The mufflers are next to the gas tank.  Many aftermarket systems put mufflers where the factory placed the resonators...in front of the axle.
