Newly purchased Cuda pictures
« on: April 18, 2014 - 04:56:16 PM »
My dad got a call a few days ago from a guy he sold parts to years ago. The guy had a few cars he needed to sell and wondered if he'd be interested in buying them. So we went up there earlier this week to check them out. After looking at all three of the cars we decided we'd go in together and buy all of them.

The green car is an all original 70 Barracuda 318/auto car. Has front end damage limited to the grill, header panel, bumper and a little bit on the fender. Luckily the radiator support and front valance didn't get touched. Trunk floors and quarters have rust. Original 318 still running, original paint, original vinyl top, and original interior.

The pink car is kind of an odd ball. It's a black 70 Barracuda with a slant 6 and a 3 speed manual trans. Someone painted it pink and put in some ford front bucket seats. Supposedly was running when parked. Quarters and trunk floor are gone.

The last car is another 70 Barracuda 318 car. It's in pieces and partially buried, so no pictures. It may end up being a parts car depending on how things look once we get it out of there.

Anyways, just thought i'd share with everyone as we are pretty excited to get them. Not sure what we plan to do with them all, but I definitely want to get the green one roadworthy again and drive it this summer.

And a few of the pink one. Sorry about the picture quality, my battery was dead so the flash wouldn't work.

Nice score! It looks like the VON in the fender tag pic starts with a V. I wonder what that designates? I've never seen a V.

What an awesome haul, i like the colour combo on that Green 318 car, it looks like it has a nice interior in it also.

Very strange having a V on the VON, i have not seen that either i do not think.

Awesome score!

That greeny looks really good.
A little polish and drive it hard.
Can't say I have seen the V on a von.  Anyone happen to know anything about that?

I'm dyin to see the fender tag readouts on the other two cars.
Is the / a 198 ?
M46 on either of the other two cars?

I actually have a spare header panel and grill from my 70 that I turned into a 71. I'm going to have my paint guy match the paint and get the green one looking good again. Then I plan to drive it this summer while finishing my 71. I will have more details when we go back up there next weekend. The owner has all three build sheets for these cars, so it should be interesting to see what they exactly are.

It's a T.

Thanks for pointing that out.
I color edited it and it is definitely a T.
