tachometer location

Non-rallye dash.  The tach is currently located below dash and forward of gearshift, but is hard to see at a glance.  I like the window pillar idea, but my wife says it would take away from the looks.

I mounted mine on the left side of the steering column. It blocks my view of the heater controls a bit but I can still see the whole dash.

I know there's a company out there that make a small tach that fits the void to the right of your gauges. This is assuming you don't already have a clock in that location.

Hey that's cool....Wonder how hard it might be to swap the location of the tach with the gas gauge ? I would prefer the tach front and center !

The clock delete section is the easiest place to put it but I hear ya. I'd love to move it over as well.

Unfortunately it would take some serious modification to move it over and hence where it sits.

Those dashes are a dime a dozen....I think I would buy one to butcher just to try it....but that's just me.....I think it's cool you're not just putting in a rally dash like everybody else

I looked at swapping locations with the fuel gauge when installing mine. It would not be an easy task, lots of fabrication. Its not in a great spot but it gets you a factory looking tach and no clutter. You do get used to it.

It's a redline tach and removing the delete piece was easy and it mounts nice.

I bought that in dash tack, but decided to put an oil pressure gauge where the clock lived instead.  Now my plan is to put a 3.5" sun tach on the column off to the right.  I don't have it installed yet to let you know how it will work, but that is how I see it best.

I put a vac gauge in the clock/delete.



And a small digital tac mounted to the light bar.
