Not sure what motivated this but I would guess money , health or time issues , I have the felling you actually enjoy the newer Chall more too . Still sad to see it go

  If it makes you feel better, it wasn't a money or health issue. I just fell out of love with it a couple of years ago. I held on to it hoping I would get the feeling back again, but no. To add to it, I was paying someone rent for the garage. I would go over there and drive it, not because I wanted to, but because I felt I had to...Keep fresh gas in it, keep seals and gaskets from drying out, etc. I just asked myself, why do I continue to do this?
It was a beautiful car, but it needed to go to a new home.

 The new Challenger is fun. I can't believe how much of an upgrade this was compared to my '09. More updates on it to come....

 I guess I am in a similar position , my first Chall I drove everywhere & loved it , I sold it by mistake & replaced it but I was never as rich again as I was when I was 17 . I have held onto my Chall for 34 years now waiting to repeat the good times but the car has rarely been where I live & I have not had the time or money to enjoy the car since I bought it which is why it still only has 42,000 miles on it . & as usual once again I finally restored the car after 30 years waiting & drove it only 10 miles & now I am 5000 miles away from it !

Mike;  I am in the same boat as you were, except mine is in my own garage.   In the last five years all I've done is put a little gas in it, drive around the block, home and park it.  I keep thinking maybe things will change, but after five years doubtful.  The price of gas doesn't help!  I guess the smart thing would be to sell it and let someone else enjoy it, but I guess with the market so low now it will probably keep sitting in the garage collecting dust for the most part.  Rob

I've had summers where I had no time for the 'hobby car' and thought it makes no sense financially to keep it, but I'm glad I never sold it.
Currently looking for 70 -74 cuda or a 69 Charger..........if you know anybody selling...a reasonably solid project...
