So here's what worked for me. No leds just original bulbs. I removed the original blue/green lenses. they where burnt and damaged to 40 years of service. I drilled out the rivets, pulled the lenses and painted the bulb housings with white high temp paint as the factory had done. Then I went to tap plastics and had a piece of light blue plexiglass cut to cover the lens openings and drilled holes where the rivets where and used #6 screws to hold it. The lights are very bright at night. You can get the plastic in various colors and a small piece only cost a couple of dollars.
