Question about window molding clips
« on: April 27, 2014 - 08:59:50 PM »
4 speed fish (Bob) and I were giving Topcat (Mike) a hand with his front glass and reveal molding.  He has the seemingly correct clips for the studs in the window channels (on his '71), but the bottoms of the clips are open, so you can pull the clips up and off with pliers.  I've only worked with the screw-in clips before, but you definitely can't pull them up and out.  Why are the stud-type clips open on the bottom and not something like this (that would catch the stud and stay on)?

I ordered my reveal clips through YearOne and I don't know what this clip goes. Please advise.

Goes in the bottom outside corners of the rear glass. Most people don't use them :2cents:

Looks like you slide it over the pin and have to peen the curled piece so it hooks under the pin to hold it in.  Come to think of it, you shouldn't have to peen it.  It should snap in.

Thanks. I just acquired a 73 'Cuda parts car. I'll look at the orientation when I pull the window trim. I also acquired a 73 challenger rallye with a rally day cluster. Has perfect dash pad also. PM me if you need any parts. I'm going to Mopar Nationals on August 8 and I can deliver there.
