    Cuda tail trim and mirror question

    Stop by the body shop this weekend to check out the progress on my cuda and my paint guy had a few questions that I couldn't answer. First, this is a cuda tribute, so I am adding the stainless tail trim. I remember seeing some pictures on the forum of the correct locations for the holes, but I cant find them anywhere. Can anyone help me out here?

    Second question, can someone tell me how to remove the glass from the rear view mirrors? Other than just yanking them out of the housing, I cant see any other way to remove them.

    I don't know that the rear view mirror glass can be removed. You can use a hair dyer to remove the side view mirror
    glass if that's what you meant. Just heat till the glue gets tacky and carefully pry out.

    Yeah, I meant to say side view mirror.

    Might have to break the mirror glass. My body shop just tapes it up...

    Maybe these picture will help for the rear trim....

    If I have to break the glass to get it out, how does the new glass get installed?

    Been there, done that. :)
    Take a look at the pics, and you will see whats going on. Move the mirror to the extreme of each side and you will see the screws that hold the assembly. I recommend replacing the screws with new or allen heads. At this time you can also tighten it up if needed.

    the mirror just glues onto the metal plate behind with adhesive tape usually supplied already on the glass

    put the whole thing in a bucket of laquer thinner then call me in the morning.
