I was awakened at about 3:30 this morning by thunder and lightning. Stayed awake a few minutes to see how bad it was getting and decided that it wasn't getting too awful bad near me. I went bad to sleep and slept until the alarm went off. Prayers to all those that didn't have it so easy...

My parents live south of Little Rock, AR.  They have a tornado shelter buried in the back yard.  Luckily they didn't need it.  The storms were north of them.  Unfortunately, many lives were lost in other parts of the state. You just never know when your life can change drastically.

It wasn't the rain or thunder keeping me up last night so much as the continuous lightning. At one point I was awakened by a louder than normal 'thunk' on my roof, likely a tree limb, but enough to bolt me out of bed to turn the light on :hyper: I turned the tv on to check the latest local weather and listened long enough to hear of funnel clouds spotted 10-15 miles north in Autauga county heading due northeast - away from me.

I left for work before light this morning and will check for tree limbs, etc. when I get off in a few hours.

My power did not even flicker but my thoughts are with the folks that had been more seriously affected earlier this weekend--

Thanks for the thoughts everyone :)

btw, round two this evening :faint:

We must be getting the tail end leftovers up here?  :eek4:  Really windy and lots of sideways rain.  I actually got off the hwy with my work van the winds were so bad .
Nothing compared to what folks down south had to endure.  :crying:
