71 Cuda FE5 Black Billboard 340 - CO Springs and/or St Louis

Looks OK.  Need to see that one in person to make a final judgment.  There are quite a few incorrect things in the engine compartment.  The painted rear bumper has me worried as well as the paint on the door stricker.  WHY do people not remove the door strickers before painting the car?  How hard is that?  When ever I see that, I assume other shortcuts were taken.

Looks like it is here in St Louis over at the Daniel Schmitt & Co Motorcar Co. As you can see from the other cars in the background they normally deal with high end exotic stuff like Jags, Bentleys BMWs and stuff like that. Every now and then they somehow get their mits on a muscle car to flip. A few years back I went to look at a 69 Vette (who doen't like Vettes? ) they had that they thought was gold and priced accordingly. It was very nice but I didn't think it was worth what they were asking, so I passed. So who knows what they have with that Cuda - could be a diamond in the rough or a polished up turd They also have this 71 HemiCuda 'vert tribute car that they have been trying to unload for a looooong time. Haven't seen it myself in person, but here is the ad for it http://www.schmitt.com/viewimage.asp?ID=4636 The place is only about 40 mins away from me so I just might have to go on over there, check them out and post a report.

Nice blue tribute.
IMO worth about $75-80k
Lots of 71 hemi vert tributes have been made.
Probably at least a hundred times more than rolled off the assembly line.

When the real ones soared into the Millions a couple of well detailed clones started selling in the six figures with ease as well...this prompted every Tom Dick and Harry to build a 1971 Hemicuda convertible clone...some real nice, correctly detailed ones and some real turds....

The reason I asked about the VIN is because when this was happening, people started using original 340 and 383 "Cudas" as well as 318 Barracudas....I wouldn't mind paying $75-80K for a Hemi clone if it has a "H" or "N" code BS27 car

I would bet most tributes out there are BH cars. Werent they a lot more common?
Some of the worst turds were probably hardtop conversions.
